Dental Insurance
Our office accepts most dental plans that do not require you to choose a dentist from a list. We do not accept Dentical. This allows our doctors and staff to spend quality time with our patients to make your dental visit more comfortable. Quality dentistry comes from an atmosphere with low stress where the doctor is not rushed into performing more procedures than he/she can handle. At Galt Family Dentistry you will be treated as an individual so we can focus all our attention on your oral and overall health.
If you would like to know how your particular dental insurance works at our office, it is best to call Jenne, our Financial Coordinator, at 209-745-2929. She will be happy to answer all of your dental insurance questions.
Understanding Dental Insurance can be frustrating for many patients. It is best to realize that dental insurance companies are not there to pay for 100% of your dental needs and do not always cover services that are of your best interests. If dental insurance companies were there for your best interests, they would not make as large of a profit from you or your employer who pays for your dental benefits.
Many patients believe they have great dental coverage because it pays 100%. However, most dental insurance companies pay 100% on exams, cleanings, and x-rays, 80% on fillings, and 50% on other procedures such as crowns, bridges, and root canals. There can also be a max amount of coverage per year such as $1000, $2500, or unlimited.
On a side note, the annual maximums of insurance companies haven't changed in over 20 years while the dental fees have at least doubled in that time period. It is very important to maximize your annual benefits to get the most out of your dental coverage.
Therefore, if it is getting close to the end of the calendar year (say, September for instance), you need to start using your dental insurance because your benefits will renew again in January. Please call our office and schedule an appointment today. We are happy to serve your dental needs.
